The object of former forge was owned by SSM before 1989. From that period is also the brick boathouse situated on the side of the Lipno dam.
After the velvet revolution (in 1989) was the estate of SSM delegated (the scout center Kovářov also) into administration of Fond of youth and children, that was ment to take care about those buildings for a short period of time before they would be transferred to the youth organizations that should use them for nonprofitable activities.
The object was passed to the scout organization which has been running it since 1994.
Thanks to the grant from the Ministry of Education, youth and sports, our own deposit and a huge initiative from scouts, the center was put in run in a short time.
Since 1994 the scout center has allready the second house manager. The first one was Ing. Karel Hintnaus - Hinty. Thank him for his big struggle, time and specialy long term work. Thanks also to theothers helping to the center.
